Round Table – CREATING SAFE SPACE TO NAVIGATE OUR POLITICAL POLARITIES – RT-10/04/2025
Recently, political polarization has intensified, fueling fear, anger, and frustration on both sides of the political spectrum. Here in Victories, we value the importance of a sacred space in which to express ourselves and to welcome all men respectfully despite our differences, yet the power of this polarization tends to prevent attempts to discuss this topic within our circles. In this Roundtable, guidelines are established to allow us to safely discuss how this political climate is affecting us. While we may or may not find agreement in our political views – and our purpose is not to engage in political debate – we will have the opportunity to express our feelings and concerns and be respected in a non-judgmental manner.
Learning objectives:
At the close of this Roundtable, participants will be able to:
• Verbalize how the current political climate affects us mentally, emotionally, and interpersonally.
• Describe ways to create safety within Victories gatherings to share our feelings and thoughts openly on this subject.
• Develop a personal plan to identify actions to better manage our responses to this political climate.
