THE WISDOM YEARS WEEKEND
For men, reaching the age of 50 can be more than a milestone. It can also signal an important life transition, one that brings both new concerns and new opportunities. The Wisdom Years Weekend was created to help them to address the one and seize the other. Through group discussion and other activities, men are encouraged to look thoughtfully at the second half of adult life as they face some of its most profound questions:
How can we live our later years with authenticity, intentionality, health, and connection?
How can we best respond to our changing roles at work and at home?
How can we maintain and express a vital sense of purpose and impact in our world?
How do we balance our hopes for continued connection, productivity, and growth against our fears of loneliness, decline, and death?
The Wisdom Years Weekend is designed to help men to search their past, shed its self-defeating burdens, emerge into a new sense of anticipation about their future, and commit to a plan of action. Honest relationships and heightened self-awareness are at the heart of the weekend, where men come together in a spirit of respect, safety, confidentiality, and hope.
The Wisdom Years Weekend welcomes all men over the age of 50 regardless of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. There are no prerequisites for attending.

From Past Participants:
The Wisdom Years Weekend gave me a whole new perspective. Instead of lamenting what I lost in the past, I found that I could learn from it. I left the weekend filled with hope and excitement about how I want to live the rest of my life.
AL - Weekend Participant
In my early 60s I went back to school, got a master’s degree, and started a new career. It all started with the Wisdom Years. The weekend helped me identify a new direction and discover a new sense of purpose.

We think we know a lot about life. We think after so many years, you think you “got it.” And one of the fun things about this experience is you realize you got just a part of it. There’s a lot more of it out there for you. That’s what I learned at the Wisdom Years.
HF - Weekend Participant
I’m in the best place I’ve ever been. It’s not about what’s going to happen tomorrow or next year or next month or five years from now. It’s about now.
